Alex Sevigny, Dearborn Health Physiotherapist

Alex Sevigny, MHSc. PT, BSc. Kin, CSCS

Growing up, Alex played many sports, including competitive ice hockey, rugby and volleyball. When he would get injured he would see a physiotherapist and was always interested in what they did. As time went on, he saw physiotherapy as being the ideal career as it combined his love of anatomy, human performance, and helping others.

Education & Certification

After earning his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo, he obtained his Master of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa. Bilingual, Alex did his graduate studies in French and is happy to offer his services in either language.

In addition to his masters, he’s a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS®) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

  • Taping

  • Electrotherapy

A Passion for Helping Patients

Always welcoming and accepting, Alex loves helping people and interacting with patients. For him, what’s most rewarding is helping patients get back to the place where they can once again use their body to the best of their abilities.

In addition to providing hands-on care and specific exercises, Alex believes in educating the patient, and will clearly articulate to the patient what’s wrong and what they need to do to get better.

Alex is delighted to be part of the Dearborn Health team, as he appreciates the variety of knowledge of the different members of the team, and how different practitioners provide patients with a well-rounded approach to care.

Always Active

When he’s not working, Alex likes to stay active through strength training, running, cycling, and hiking. He also enjoys spending time with friends, camping, playing board games, and reading.
